Associa Community Association Services of Indiana Helps Revamp Community’s Meeting Procedures Amid Pandemic

Mixed Use

This 140-unit condominium community is located in the south side of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Challenge:

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the community’s board of directors wrote new bylaws to remove the requirement for residents to physically attend board meetings. However, they needed to ensure a quorum would be met to pass the new bylaws.

Resolution:

Associa Community Association Services of Indiana community manager Ed F. quickly stepped up and helped execute an initial small physical meeting. He then assisted with getting proxies signed and contacting homeowners who couldn’t attend the meeting through registered mail. With his help, the community was able to receive signed proxies and ballots from 126 of 140 members, and the bylaws were passed.

In 2021, Ed F. assisted with notifications, proxy forms, and ballots for an additional meeting. He also personally greeted each meeting attendee. The community commends Ed F. for how he handled this unexpected issue and views him as one of Associa Community Association Services of Indiana’s most valuable employees.
